The Ministry of Energy selects Affinity Systems to assist in the Green Button “Connect my Data” initiative for stakeholders in Ontario. This program will allow customers of Local Distribution Companies (LDCs) to authorize third-party access to their Green Button data. The ultimate objective of the Green Button initiative is to provide consumers with greater access to energy data to help them better manage their electricity consumption.

MISSISSAUGA, Ontario – December 15, 2012 – Affinity Systems is pleased to announce that the Independent Electricity Systems Operator (IESO) for Ontario has renewed its long-term contract with Affinity to provide support and enhancements for the IESO’s Dispatch Data Management System (DDMS). DDMS is the set of applications that control and operate the scheduling and dispatch of the electricity grid in Ontario.

The tenth annual IMPACT Awards recognize excellence within the Microsoft technology partner community in Canada.
