Affinity designed a system for Cancer Care Ontario with a single, centralized, web-based portal with functionality to optimize business processes for adjudicating eligibility and claims reimbursement. The system is a multi-tiered, service-oriented solution, using a wide range of modern Microsoft technologies. All software components were written in C#, using ASP.NET 4 and MVC 3.
Awards were presented in multiple categories, with winners chosen from a set of nearly 3,000 entrants worldwide. The Web Development Partner of the Year Award recognizes the innovative partner who focused on the development and deployment of websites and web-based applications built on the current portfolio of Microsoft technologies, including:
- Microsoft .NET Framework
- Windows Server with Internet Information Services (IIS)
- Microsoft Silverlight
- Microsoft Visual Studio

The winner showcased expertise in using the web as a platform to develop and deliver key business applications to market faster, more easily, and for a lower maintenance cost on Internet-facing websites hosted on-premises or off, and/or cloud platforms such as using Windows Azure.
