Leadership Team

Leslie has over 34 years of experience in software development and over 26 years in software management. His achievements are far-reaching, and include such notable work as designing, managing and/or implementing:

• A robot that maintains a map of all web pages on the Internet
• Software that mines topic-dependent social community structure from billions of sites on the Internet
• A comprehensive programming environment for software development and maintenance

In the past, Leslie set direction for, and managed the activities of more than 50 development and documentation personnel for the Software Technology Division of I.P. Sharp Associates.

Leslie holds a Master of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Toronto, with majors in computer software and computer security. He has also authored or co-authored more than half a dozen papers presented at international conferences and is an active member of the ACM and the IEEE.

Hugh has over 34 years of experience working in the software industry, including software development, marketing, sales, and management. Hugh has built software and started companies in Toronto, Singapore, Mexico, and the United Kingdom. His achievements include:

• Designing a global anti-phishing system, which provides detection, take down and tracking of phishing attacks against financial institutions and e commerce sites
• Co-founding BrandIntel, a technology-based company that analyzes consumer discussion on the Internet, to help companies assess marketing effectiveness and determine consumer buying intentions
• Architecting and managing the development of an incentive management system for CompanyDNA, a Canadian-based company offering incentive solutions that improve sales performance and strengthen channel loyalty
• Implementing a suite of survey analysis products for Latin American market research companies
• Creating a joint-venture company with Singapore Airlines, specializing in providing software services throughout Southeast Asia
• Architecting an aeronautical document management system for use by air traffic control personnel in major international airports

Hugh holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Toronto. He has pending U.S. and Canadian patents on Internet content analysis, and has authored several papers presented at international conferences.

Raj has nearly 30 years of experience in the software industry as a developer, team leader and project manager. Raj is responsible for overseeing all software projects at Affinity Systems and has a consistent track record of successful delivery. His achievements include:

• Managing the design and development of indigo.ca, Canada's largest online bookstore
• Leading the development team for the creation of a Unix-based data management and business intelligence tool for Philips NV in the Netherlands
• Implementing a human resources management software product used by major European automobile manufacturers
• Managing the development team that implemented the real-time streaming portions of GlobeInvestor, a Globe and Mail web property
• Building an experienced development team at Affinity, that is well versed in agile design and can tackle the most difficult challenges

Raj holds an Honours Bachelor of Science degree from the University of London (England).

Bob has over 14 years experience in technology business development, sales and marketing. He began his career as an account manager with a small Canadian software company, and progressed into more senior roles, including manager of sales and director of business development. Bob's achievements include:

• Leading the business development team in Canada for a global consulting company
• Founding and building a successful technology services brokerage firm

Bob holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Waterloo and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Toronto.

Laura has over 25 years progress business experience in finance and accounting. She is responsible for all aspects of financial management and reporting. As a member of the company's Management Team, Laura also helps set the company's strategic direction. Prior to joining Affinity Systems, she held the position of Accounting Manager for ITT Milrod.

She has also served as the President of the Toronto Junior Board of Trade, throughout her 25-year career. Laura is also a founding member of The Mississauga Furniture Bank a registered charity.

Laura received her CMA designation from The Certified Management Accountants of Ontario, and holds a Bachelor of Administrative Studies from York University.

Rodney has over 20 years of experience in the software industry as a developer, team lead and architect. Rodney has been responsible for architect and technical project management for many of Affinity System's largest projects including:

• Design, architecture and project oversight for a large multi-year project creating online games for Ganz Game Studios
• Design and implementation lead for a suite of tools for survey generation, presentation and reporting for Perceptor UK
• Lead design and project manager for a dynamic table driven content management system to schedule and manage multi-lingual, multi-locale content
• Lead architecture and developer for an anti-fraud toolkit for detection and mitigation for online financial industries for BandProtect
• Lead developer for Leading the development team for the creation of a Unix-based data management and business intelligence tool for Philips NV in the Netherlands

Rodney has a Bachelor of Mathematics in Computing Science from the University of Waterloo.
